share your tips here,


i'll start first

1. make sure you have enough budget to cover the possible loss

2. Understand the economic module
3. Understand the economy of the nation you are opening your company in

I could go on, but I'll let others comment first

How about if each of you moghuls list down the main points take into consideration... from your approach. Only then you elaborate/discuss what you meant by that single point in other post later on. For example:

Buntakism:
1. make sure you have enough budget to cover the possible loss.
2. make sure you are stupid enough.
3. bla bla bla...

Later on, just pick one issue at a time...eg: point no 1: Enough Budget
Tell approximate budget and what do they cover. How many gold charged to open a company, need to prepare how much to buy raw material; should we reserve some for paying salary; licence etc...
After all on that point is clear, then you move to the next point: Just be stupid
....

OR:
Perhaps Dr Staatmaan approach can be like this: Give a simulation case.
Create a short story/summary with all facts and figures that had been taken... If you had experience with more than 1 company, maybe you would have more than 1 experience to share.

This can be an interesting subject.
Whatever we do, try to make it appear interesting for everybody to join the activity too.

1. make sure you have enough budget to cover the possible loss.

when you first start a business, you need an organization to be your general manager, which will cost you 5 gold. then, you need 40 gold if starting a new company, and maybe 30 golds IF you buy an old company, a backup of at least 10gold in the organization account. in my case, starting from scratch

which means spending 55gold to make one
of the 55 golds,
5 gold to create an organization
10 gold to be transfered to the company
20 gold will be the price of the company
20 gold will go to the company account

when i mention enough budget to cover the possible loss. i'm telling you to not to take out any of the 20g in the company account, and not to use any of the 10 gold in the organization account.
why?
because the 10 gold in the company account,that can be converted in monetary market, to money
this money will cover the workers salary, the raw material's price, if you start a manufacturing company. the backup 20 gold can be transfered to the company account to buy the license sale to the other country. the possible loss always comes when there's
1. low money to pay the worker( worker runs)
2. low raw material in the company( worker runs)
3. low profit from sales (price too high or too low)
4. limited place to sell (region captured and got no sale license at that country)

so, always a sufficient fund in the company account

Point no 2: make sure you are stupid enough. RULED OUT

Before we can move to Dr. Straatman's 2nd and 3rd points, which are much more into macro economics, I guess somebody can show several encouraging routine of a manager.
1- How's the daily life of a CEO. For not being just a 2 clickers.
2- How would it feel to be a MILLIONAIRE. Make up some dreams lah...

Before making a Company:
- Check Taxes, Regions, War, eCitizens of the eCountry etc.;
- Calculate if you will be able to make Profit, Example:
You are starting a Q1 Food Company. The Grain Price is 6 Money and the Food Price is around 72 Money. You need 6 Grain to produce 1 Food so 6x6= 36 Money. 72-36= 36 Money.
The Jobs are 360 Money per Employee so your Employee needs to make atleast 10 Food to make Profit. (excluding Taxes now)
- Make sure you got enough Money to keep it Running

Edit: If you want a Raw Material company make sure your Region has High!

no. 2, better ask Noveras or ST

as CEO
1. survey the RAW market price
2. buy supply if fund is sufficient
3. sell product at lowest profit ever, maybe a bit loss of profit
4. survey the monetary market and make exchange when needed
5. hire/fire when needed

i thought this topic about how to open and manage company in eMY only. If not, why you bother discuss this, better read others complete and practical articles that can make you more golds

all of the above. can be either general, specific to one nation or to one product

share all you know about making business, profitable...

house company cant run with full 20 workers...

too much production cant be adsorbed by market, even some big nation, USA, Serbia, Indonesia; house selling is very low.

perhaps,money exchange? buy money at lowest price at market with gold,then sell that money abit higher back to market to gold again.. i know it out of topic.

I made profit while having a company in eMY as everyone was willing to work for a low salary for the medal
